CAMPING WITH THE WALKERS
Ryan, being Ryan, has been itching to go camping for a while. We've had a fairly cold and wet beginning to the year, so we haven't been able to schedule anything yet. We contacted some friends to see if they were up to camping with us or just joining us for the campfire and s'mores. The Walkers were the only ones brave enough to join us for the night and unfortunately, the others we invited for the campfire (they didn't want to stay the night) weren't able to make it.

It was a fun family camping trip, made even more fun having the Walker family along. Ryan is already up to camp again!

We all had a fun evening together as we ate dinner- we had walking tacos and the Walkers made stew, which they shared. It was so good! Then we broke out the s'mores! Ryan got the HUGE marshmallows, which the kids LOVED, but man did they make a mess.
Soon afterward, we headed to bed. It was supposed to be COLD that night so we brought nearly every blanket in the house to try to keep us warm. We were only moderately successful. IT WAS COLD!!! We all survived, even if we didn't sleep too well. Next time we'll be sure it doesn't get that cold at night when we camp. Or buy more blankets!
