Another kind of crazy morning. Ryan took my car into the shop while I dropped the kids off to school, Kyra a bit early, so I could drive Ryan to work, and get back in time to go to the gym where Brianna has an art class 9:00 am on Fridays. We made it back just in time for her to enjoy the class and I talked and walked with my friend. Afterwards, Brianna and I went over to her house to chat some more and let the kids play.
I got word on my car that, all told, it needs nearly $2,500 worth of stuff done in the near future. We decided to take care of the immediate problem and then figure out when to get the rest worked on. Not the best news, but we knew some of it was coming.
School pickup went smoothly and included getting Ryan from work once again. I’m glad we have my car back because all this back and forth is so time consuming. (And it’s not so great to put more wear and tear on the one car that’s working halfway decent.) But all this car repair stuff is making us realize that we both need new/newer vehicles. Probably a lot sooner than we’d hoped.
