Last night Brianna became more insistent and consistent that her ear was hurting. After borrowing an otoscope to take a look for myself to make sure she wasn't faking like she was Friday. It looked red when I took a peek, so I called for an appointment this morning to get a professional opinion. The appointment wasn't until later in the morning. Poor Brianna had to wait until her appointment for medicine since I didn't want to give her anything to hide symptoms. The Physician's Assistant, whom I love, confirmed it was indeed an ear infection and prescribed amoxicillin. Basically the same thing, only a lesser amount, Layla was prescribed Friday for her ear infection.
If that wasn't a crazy enough, my car is still out of commission until our tax return comes in which means I had to drive Ryan to work and pick him up. He had an early meeting this morning he needed to be in the office for. Because of that, I had to take him to work before the kids got up to get ready for school. Come home, get them ready for the day, and take them to school. At 2:50 I started school pickup and finished around 4:00. I went straight away to pick Ryan up from work, which took me two-hours round trip (it only took an hour this morning before rush-hour started).
We picked up dinner to bring home, and then Addy and I went to a meeting about AVID. I'm not sure what it stands for, but it a program that encourages the kids in academics and college readiness. I think this program will be a good fit for Addy, but I think she'd be just fine without it too. It is a program she has to apply to get into and there's no guarantee she will get a spot. She's pretty excited about it and I hope she gets in.
