AN ENLIGHTENING DAY

Kyra had a big babysitting job today. She started at about 10:30 and didn't get home until 5:30. Before she went she came to me and asked, "Guess who I text with the most." I said one of her good friend's name...no. I said me...no. I thought about it a moment and said a boy's name...yes! WHAT?!?!? Apparently, this boy (Brigham) has had a crush on her for a while, enough that I picked up on it fairly quickly, but she was oblivious to it. Well, she's not oblivious to it anymore. So I remind her that she can't date until she's 16 (she's 13 1/2 now), and she goes, "I know. He says he'll wait for me." Wait, WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!? I told her that I'm not sure that was any better.

So we have officially entered into the teenage, boys, boyfriend/girlfriend, wanting to eventually date stage. AAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Joselyn funny:

We went out to McDonald's (yaaaaay, yummmmm *sarcasm*) for lunch to let the kids play since it is quite chilly here today and they needed to run around and get some energy out. While there one of the kids found a "Coffee House News" that has trivia questions in it. Ryan and I like to do them when we see them and the older girls have joined as they got older.

We were driving home going through the questions when the little ones said they wanted to play. No problem, just give us your answers. Here was one of the questions:

"What is the ingredient responsible for making bread rise?"
  • Addy- yeast
  • Ryan- yeast
  • Kim- yeast
  • Joselyn- west
😂😂😂

Oh, my goodness we were cracking up laughing. It was soooo funny.

And onto some not so fun news, my car is making a weird noise. I need to take it in, but I need to wait for our tax return which should be here any time because I have no idea how much this fix could cost. This is soooo not what I wanted to spend our tax return on.

Tonight we had Adult Stake Conference. It is so nice to have our girls old enough to babysit the younger kids so Ryan and I can go together. Poor Kyra spent all day babysitting to come home and babysit some more. She was quite tired so she and Addy worked together to take care of everyone. But have no fear...Kyra was kept busy talking and texting Brigham. 😩

The conference was really enjoyable and we were given great counsel. Things on Keeping the Sabbath Day holy, marriage, family scripture study and prayer, being good examples to our kids, family history and temple work, and being good missionaries.
