At the beginning of 2018, Ryan and I made a goal to attend the temple weekly. He would go on Tuesday nights after work and I would get up super early and go on Saturdays. We did pretty well for a long while, but then we let life get in the way and we both stopped going. Tonight Ryan went to the temple once again. He's glad he got an opportunity to go and have that time.

Layla was looking extra cute today in her pigtails and I just had to get a picture.
Her hair is getting quite long and she could probably use a bit of a trim, but I'm loving that she lets me play with it. It's been really fun watching Kyra play with Layla and Brianna's hair and the little girls love it.

This morning everyone was getting ready for the day, each in their own rooms, and when they all come back together we realized that everyone was having a "Blue" day. I even dressed Brianna up in blue later this morning to fit in (she's not pictured).

We woke up this morning to super cold (for us Texans) temperatures- in the 20's. Usually, when this happens any moisture on my windshield forms a solid "wall" of frost I can't see through. Well, this morning it was kinda neat, like a giant fingerprint.

We like to put the kids to bed each night and sing them a song to help them relax and go to sleep. It's something Ryan remembers from his childhood and wants to continue with his children. I walked into Kyra and Addy's room to sing them their songs and I walk into this...
Why is this so unusual, you ask? I often walk in on Addy reading, since she's my big reader and always seems to have a book to read with her. It is Kyra, my "I hate reading" and "books are boring" kid and would rather clean toilets than read. (Not sure if this is truly accurate. I might have to give her the choice one day and see which one she chooses, but you get my point.) They were both ready and waiting for me READING! It was so momentous that I had to get a picture of it!
