The school hours of the day were fantastic.
Brianna and I dropped Kyra off to school and we headed to the YMCA. I got there earlier than my friends and began walking on the treadmill and continued until the last person hit their goal for the day. In total, I ended up walking for close to 90-minutes and walking about 3.2 miles.
I signed Brianna up for "Little Picasso" art class every Friday. They get the kids from the child care area and take them to the "art" room. Today was her first time and the little projects she did were cute. They colored a "B" and decorated it with feathers- for BIRD I guess. Colored in objects that started with the letter "B" on another page. And made a butterfly. It was super cute. I love seeing little projects like that. They are so simple, but I would have never thought to make it.

We went out to lunch at Chic-fil-a, ran to a couple stores really quick, headed home for some downtime before the kids come home. It was a lovely day and I remember thinking how nice our day has been today.

When the kids got home from school my day went downhill. Our 4:00-no-screen-time is exhausting. It's an hour of bickering, fighting, getting into things they shouldn't- because they're booooooored, and various kids asking a million times if they can have _______ (fill in a screen/electronic device).
This time is supposed to be for daily chores, homework, scripture study, reading, playing games, etc. But none of them want to do any of that, no matter what I suggest.
I have been trying for several days to get laundry folded and put away. I did a bunch but never did those steps and various things have taken the time needed to get it done. I was determined to finish it today. However, it seemed that the kids had other plans as every few minutes I was breaking up a fight or being asked if they can get on the computer or watch a show. So I'm frazzled and frustrated at this point, it's finally 5:00 and screens can come back on, but they are still at each other and they are LOUD. Sometimes the noise is as exhausting as everything else. I got everything folded and some of it put away. I just need to finish up that tonight and tomorrow morning.
Addy had a chair test today. She made first-chair again!!! WOO HOO!!!

Brianna only slept for about 30-minutes in the car today and that seems to have helped at bedtime tonight. I pick up Addy and the elementary kids then drop them off at home before picking up Kyra. I took Bri in when I dropped off the kids and made sure she woke up (she's really bad about falling back to sleep). I'll have to test it out to see if this is a winning strategy. So while not perfect, it was better.

Sorry if this was a downer of a post and, even to me, it sounds a lot like whining. However, I did try to end on a positive note. Good night everyone!
