Joselyn went to her "Great to be Eight" introduction to baptism meeting this afternoon. It was really nice for her to be taught a little bit more about baptism and why we get baptized when we turn eight.

Kyra and Addy went to a fireside tonight. Ryan and I almost didn't let them go because they had a sleepover at Ryan's Aunt Leslie's and were up SUPER late. But they had a mellow afternoon or took a nap, so we allowed them to go.
The Fireside was about missionary work and encouraging them to not only want to go on a mission but to go as soon as they're able. No matter where they are sent or what their experience on their mission, it will all be worth it!!!

Ryan Update:
He's been doing better when things are going well, but still gets easily frustrated when they aren't, which makes him frustrated and depressed. His brain is still not where it should be and that causes a lot of turmoil for him. He visits the doctor in another week and hopefully, she can adjust things more to get him closer to his normal self.
This is going to be a slow road when what he really wants is to be where he knows he's at his best. Time heals, but time is slow and sometimes discouraging while you're on it. He'll get to his desired destination, but until then it'll be a bumpy ride with many ups and downs.

Daniel, my brother-in-law, gave me an Ancestry DNA kit for Christmas. I followed the direction Christmas night, got it all sorted and ready to mail, and mailed it the next day, trying to beat the Christmas rush of DNA kits being done and submitted. This morning, which completely derailed my attempt at productivity, I received my results.
It told me what I basically knew from working on family history. I'm a lot English/Great Britain, I'm a third Scottish/Irish- more Scot than Celt, and I'm a teeny tiny bit German. It also highlighted that I have a history with the Mormon Pioneers, which I also knew. It also confirmed that my Grandma McPherson was full of bologna when she said she had an Indian nose.
No new revelations, just confirmation of what my genealogy work has shown. It does make me wonder about the other DNA test kits from MyHeritage and 23 and Me and what information they give provide.
