A new year has begun for the Zielke Family. After a crazy and exciting Chrismas in Houston with the McPherson Clan (NINE adults; THIRTEEN grandkids- age 13 years to 3 months; and FIVE dogs) we rang in the new year by staying up until midnight on New Year's Eve with our four oldest, watching "A House With A Clock In Its Walls," and playing a few rounds of Five Crowns to pass the time.
New Years Eve day proved to be trying as we recover from Christmas and our time in Houston. Hard reset, folks!!! It ain't pretty!
New Year's Day was better with sleeping in, a yummy family lunch of Raviolis and an outing to the McDonald's for ice cream and play time indoors, since it was way too cold for these wimpy Texans- 35 degrees- to be outside, dinner was Bowtie Chicken Alfredo, with homemade sauce, a family favorite.

One of my resolutions is to update our family blog more frequently. I'm not fond of Facebook, and I try not to be on there much except to catch up on family stuff, so in an effort to be more "social" about the happenings of our "Crazy Eight" I'm posting here.
Love you all and may your 2019 be AMAZING!!!
