My kids' Christmas Holiday is (finally) coming to an end (they go back Tuesday), which means I've run out of ideas to keep them entertained during the day. My plan today was to go get a treat and rent a movie at home. We have a Buc-ee's about 10 miles from our home, which means it's too close to stop on our way out of town- we just got in the car! And to close to stop on the way home- don't stop!!! We're almost home! So, I figured a trip to our local landmark would be a nice outing and the kids could get something to snack on they don't normally get.
As I figured, only a couple made it through the whole movie, which is why I won't take the whole crew yet to an actual theater. We rearranged the furniture for better viewing, got the snacks out, and sat down to watch "Up."
To top the day off, Ryan and I had a much-needed date night. It has been about a month since we were able to go last and with the family reunion, Christmas, and a week and a half of kids home 24-7 before they return to school, this mama was desperate to get some one-on-one time with my hubby.
