I feel like Wednesdays are a little calm and little crazy. During the day is calm and the afternoons/evenings are crazy. In the morning we get the kids off to school (a little crazy), and while they're there the day progresses nicely and calmly. A little boring even with the day to day minutia that no one wants to read about every day. Then the kids get home and it seems like everyone is coming and going at different times and in different directions. Much of it during homework time and dinner preparation time. Today, Kyra and I were working on her homework that she is really struggling with and I forgot to pick Griffin up from cub scouts (mom fail).
The kids are still struggling with our "no screen time". We have a filtering router that controls our time limits and off times, but if that gets unplugged (which it seems to happen frequently) then the screens/internet are accessible and they don't turn them off. Not without much yelling and screaming from me. And with me occupied helping Kyra with her homework today, I don't fight it much so I could concentrate on her and they have something to do.
But while the kids are most definitely attached to their screens, they have been much better lately about their chores and helping (sometimes) where needed.
