Fall In Texas

Fall in Texas is usually anticlimactic.  Leaves seem to go from green to brown to the ground in three days.  But while it can't hold a candle to the wonder of fall in more northern areas, you can still find the signs.

I like fall here.  One reason is that it actually cools off at night.  You wake up to jacket weather and by the end of the day it's warm enough for shorts (in November, no less).

Seemed appropriate to capture this since tomorrow is election day.

The falls are very mild, but still seem to see-saw a bit from cold (for here anyway) to pretty warm.  The days are usually bright and sunny.  And it's wonderful to take the kids to the playground and not burn their bums on the slide.

I love this yard and especially the fountain.  It just seems so serene.

Joselyn cheesin' it up and enjoying some outdoor time.

Kyra loves these little flowers.  From afar they look like popcorn, especially the white flowers.

I took the kids on a walk to capture the signs of fall.  We just went around the block, but if you pay attention you can see the colors before they turn brown. :)

I love that the leaves are a vibrant green and wonderful yellow all at the same time.

Adeline enjoyed collecting the different colored leaves throughout our walk.

Such wonderful colors!

See fall DOES come to Texas!

The pine cones were just so big!

Such great colors and the sun behind the tree was nice too.

Happy Fall!
