Flashback Friday...On Satruday

Birthdays

In July our family gets to celebrate two birthdays, five days apart.  This is super fun because we get to open presents twice and eat twice as much cake!!!

This year Grandma and Grandpa Zielke were here this year for Grandpa's birthday (July 2nd) and Addy's birthday (July 3rd).

Our big 5 year old!
So the reason for the Flashback delay is this...I sat down with every intention to do birthday posts for my birthday girl and boy when I realized I DO NOT HAVE A SINGLE PICTURE of the birthday girl's big day.  Somehow, someway with four adults in the room not one of us took a single picture.

You may now nominate me for the "Worst Mom Ever" award.
Thank you.  Thank you.

The birthday boy!
Adeline's birthday was a bit on the low key side.  We were hoping Ryan would be able to come home early so we hung out at home.  Addy (or Addie, as she likes it spelled now) and grandpa went to the store to grab a "Tinkerbell" cake and some other odds and ends.

Griffin's presents
Ryan unfortunately didn't get home early, so we ate a quiet meal at home, opened presents and ate the super yummy "Tinkerbell" ice cream cake.

The Cake!
Griffin's birthday was also a low key event.  Grandpa Zielke headed home on the 4th and Grandma Zielke and I were painting like crazy.

Blowing out the candle
I love that you can see the flame move as he blows it out!

Again we stayed in, ate dinner, got kids ready for bed, ate cake and opened presents.

Daddy helped with the present opening
Griffin was very excited to see his presents and excited to see what he got.

Checkin' out his new toys
He really loved the toys and was only slightly enthused about the clothes.

The girls happily looking on
The girls really wanted to open presents, but it wasn't their birthday and Griffin was doing just fine on his own. :(

We had two wonderful birthdays.  Happy birthday my sweet babies.  We love you both!
