Flashback Friday- 5 Star Award

Jethro, the fish. He lives at the office and is still doing well.

A friend of mine stole this idea from her sister and now I'm stealing it from her.  Since I've been so bad about blogging the last 8 months I decided to take a day and review what we've been up to so we can have it documented.  And so it doesn't stress me out too much.

This quote is by Ronald Reagan. And encapsulates Ryan's attitude at work perfectly.

This Friday I've decided to start with Ryan's amazing accomplishment.  This past spring Ryan was nominated for a very highly prestigious award.  His director nominated him for organizing a web development community where those who are interested can meet, share ideas (techniques, coding languages, etc.), receive help solving problems and most importantly share knowledge.

These are the 9 "Bravo Zulu" awards and a Purple Promise award he's received in the last 7-years

Ryan's dedication, initiative to his job and learning all he can to benefit the company has not only impressed his bosses, but has been recognized repeatedly since he began working there.  So it was no surprise that he was nominated.  Ryan was cautiously hopeful about winning, but honestly didn't think he would.  He's only worked there 7-years and many people work their entire careers to get one.

Ryan with his 5 Star Award

He found out in the middle of July that the CEO of FedEx Services had chosen him to receive this award.  We are very proud of Ryan and all he's accomplished.  He's so selfless about what he does.  He doesn't brag about his abilities or all the things he does to benefit FedEx, but his managers and directors are definitely watching and recognize what a wonderful asset Ryan is.

Way to go, Ryan!!!
