The Trampoline

This year Ryan's parents bought the kids a trampoline for Christmas. It was such a nice surprise for them and they love playing on it. The men don't have fond memories of putting it together, however.
~

It started out all right getting the frame and mat put on, but they soon realized that the directions weren't as clear as needed or that the steps were more labor intensive than originally thought.
~

They got the trampoline mat and padding on (it looked awesome) until they realized that the protective netting needed to be attached to the the springe BEFORE they attached the mat to the frame. So off came the mat and all the springs. Then once they got it all on, they realized that it was on inside out. GRRRR!!!! This means that they now have undo all the springs again to get it right side out.

All the while the kids are not so patiently waiting inside

Griffin wasn't so sure of this huge thing at first. But once on the trampoline and given time to get used to it he would try to bounce/jump. He was quite proud of himself...right before he would fall.

Uncle Kyle finally got a chance to jump and showed the kids a few tricks. Here is Kyra attempting a flip. Right now it's just a summer salt.

The girls like jumping together. They jump well for a few minutes until one "steals" the bounce or they run into each other. Then they don't like jumping together as much.
~

Griffin tried to join the fun, but the girls got too close and jumped to hard/high for him to get his legs under him. He sadly ended up face planting it before mom could step in and rescue him.

Griffin's quite the trooper and as long as the girls give him a turn he's quite happy with the new trampoline.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Zielke for the great gift.
