Ryan and I had just gotten into bed when we hear what sounds like someone walking into a door. I go and investigate and this is the conversation that occurred...
Kyra: Mommy, mommy (in a whiny, I just woke up and walked into a door type of voice)
Mom: Kyra what happened? (full of concern and a slight hint of laughter)
Kyra: I bonk-ted my head.
Mom: You bonked your head? (As I scoop her up into my arms)
Kyra: Yeah.
Mom: OK. Well, why don't you lie down to sleep in your bed so you wont bonk your head again.
Kyra: O-tay.
Mom: I love you. (I kiss her head, cover her up and walk out)
Mom: Kyra what happened? (full of concern and a slight hint of laughter)
