Kyra Turned THREE!!!

We celebrated Kyra's birthday at home this year. It was really nice to have Grammy and Papa McPherson, Auntie Erin, Uncle Dan, Ellie, Owen and Maggie come to celebrate. We have also noticed that Kyra's birthday is located on a most inconvenient weekend for us, so we had to celebrate it a week early.

Kyra was really excited about her birthday. She is at the age where she is starting to recognize special events and holidays. It's really fun because it adds a little extra excitement because she knows what's coming up.

Kyra loved all her presents, but seemed to love her baby doll just a bit more than the others. She calls it her "daughter."

It's cute and a little freaky at the same time.

After presents we went to a place called Going Bonkers to run around and have fun. It is a really fun place that even the parents can get up into and play around. Kyra loves it, but Addy isn't too sure of it yet.

It's a HUGE netted jungle gym (kind of like the things they have at McDonald's playlands only made of nets, not tubes) that has slides, bouncy areas, things to crawl through, under, over, etc.

We figured that the cousins would like it too and we were right. Ellie and Owen had a blast! I don't have a picture of Owen, unfortunately, but here is Ellie sliding down the one of the 5 or so slides throughout this large play area.

Did I mention that it covers the whole floor area of half the large inclosure and stretches two stories high? No. Well now you know.

Even papa got in on the action crawling through the tunnels and things chasing after the kids. I think that everyone, but Grammy and Maggie took a their turn playing, crawling and sliding. It was a BUNCH of fun!

Afterwards we headed to On the Border for dinner. Kyra loves, Loves, LOVES guacamole so what better place to eat than a Mexican restaraunt.

We then returned home, did a little bit of clean-up of the kids and sat down to enjoy a bit of yummy cake! Here is Grammy and Auntie Erin waiting for their slice. (I don't think many of the adults had a piece as we were still way too full from dinner to eat cake.)
