Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, Off to Work I Go!!!

The big news going on around our house is that mommy is going back to work!
.
As a family, we have decided that it is a good time for me to go back to work. We decided that I would go back part time. I just cannot be away from my babies for that long. I have returned to Irving ISD with much excitement. I tried to work in Lewisville, but they do not hire part-timers. So, I called my old district and asked if they had any openings. They too were excited and hired me on the spot...no interviews or anything.
.
I later found out that they did not have any elementary schools needing a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). Bummer for me, as I am most familiar with elementary schools. They did have openings for Middle and High Schools. I chose Middle School. I am working three days a week and covering two schools. I was a bit flabbergasted by this, since I have never worked in a middle school and I haven't a clue what to do. The good news is that I'll have about 30 students between the two schools. Also, they don't need to be seen every week, so I can arrange my schedule to see kids one day per school, leaving me a free day for all the miscellaneous stuff that needs to be done and taken care of.
.
I am getting pretty excited to get started. Scared, but excited!
.
As for Kyra and Addy. Ryan and I decided that we didn't know the people close to us enough to trust them with our children or having two extra kids around would be too cumbersome, so we looked into day care centers. We found one that will not take my entire paycheck to have them there. Yesterday was their first day. They both seemed to adjust just fine. A little hesitant at first, but fine. They both walked into their rooms unassisted and we were able to leave without being able to hear them crying. It still broke my heart to have to leave them, but happy that they weren't freaking out.

WHoah! you are brave! Good luck with that-- If I was a stay home mommy, and your work was close enough to our house to make the drive worth it for you, I'd offer to watch them! :) Bummer.
I know how hard it is to go back to work and not have your entire paycheck eaten by daycare costs...so good luck!

Also, love the pics of your girls!
