I hate our yard. It slopes, the grass is patchy, bristly, brown and yucky all rolled into one. That is why we hardly go out there and I hesitate to let my kids play out there, especially without shoes. We have several GREAT areas, but those are far and few between and usually get less than 3 hours of direct sunlight each day. Why do I tell you this, well my kids are going nuts, bouncing off the walls, almost literally, literally bouncing on the furniture and turning the couch cushions into slides. So I decide to pull out our sprinkler, give our burly grass and my kids a watering. And where was I during all this fun? While I should have been standing at the sink doing dishes, I was out having fun myself. I didn't wear my swim suit (I have neighbors that would have to endure that torture), I did get wet, despite my efforts not too.
