FLASHBACK: Kims Birthday

Happy Birthday to ME!

As I get older I have noticed that the excitement to check and extra notch on the age belt is less and less. But this year was actually pretty nice. My parents came up to visit on their way to a exceptionally extravagant birthday party for a former boss of my dad's. I really enjoy visits from my parents. We live far enough away from each other that it's a pain to drive the distance, so whenever we get together we try to make the most of that time.

While they were here we ate super yummy food and ate a yummy cake I made that morning.

This year I turned 28. It's getting close to the big 3-0 but not I'm not there yet. It isn't as exciting as the 3 out of 4 of my parents/in-laws that turned 50 this year, but fun nonetheless.

Ryan always surprises me with something on my birthday. Even though I told him that our vacation was my present (we went the three days before my birthday) he still went and got me something. He bought me two cd's that I've been asking for for the last 3 Christmas'. My parents gave me some money that I'm to only spend on myself. And Ryan's folks bought me some Demarle stuff to add to my collection and aid in my business.

Overall a good birthday. I got to spend it with family and those are always the best birthdays!
