Quilts for Christmas

For Christmas, the Zielke kids draw names to get gifts for. This year Ryan and I had Audrey and Nathan. Long story about why the married kids count as one, but I digress. We had Audrey and Nathan this year.

A few years back Audrey made us some really nice coasters with our names on them. So that inspired me this year to make them a gift. Since I haven't the slightest idea of how to make coasters, I decided to tap into a burgeoning talent and make them quilts.

Side by side you can see that they are slightly different. That way Audrey and Nathan can lay claim to one or the other and not get confused.

This one I intended for Audrey, but if Nathan chose this one it's OK, too. Here are a couple of angles for you to see it.

This one I intended for Nathan, but, again, if Audrey liked this one it's OK!
I want to give a VERY special thank you to my mom for helping me do the actual "quilting" by stitching the pattern on each quilt.

Those are beautiful. I like the colors a lot. I want to learn how to do the actual quilting part but I'm kind of scared to do it since its the very end and I don't want to ruin all my hard work.
