Christmas 2007- Part Three "Gifts"

Kyra has been great about not messing with the presents under the tree. Her curiosity has gotten the better of her from time to time, but for the most part she was curious from afar.

Well it was finally time to tear into them and she tackled the presents with gusto.

Santa brought Kyra a basket ball hoop.
Santa must have known that Kyra isn't much into dolls.

Kyra was so excited to finally be able to open the presents that she helped Adeline open her gifts from Santa. Addy got a fun light 'um up, make some noise ball...

...and a train with blocks that move on the train cars. Mom even got a chance to help out.

Addy liked helping Daddy open his present from his girls.

One of the most treasured gifts was an apron with hand prints of all the Zielke grandkids for Grandma.

Another treasured gift was a calendar that I made with pictures of the David and Cindy, their kids, their grandkids and even a picture or two of their parents. Both grandma and grandpa liked it.

Daddy bought Mama a piece of exercise equipment. It looks deceiving, but it's quite the workout. Kyra wanted to try and was even able to push the foot pedals a few times.

Since a two-year old was able to do it, Grandpa thought this would be cake and gave it a whirl.
It may have been harder than Kyra made it out to be.
(picture may be an over exaggeration)

Ryan not to be outdone thought, "If a two-year old and a fifty-something year old could do it, surely a twenty-eight year old could handle it."

Maybe not.

"Are you OK?!?!"
Maybe the picture wasn't so over exaggerated after all.

Background story: The boys (Ryan and David) thought it would be fun to see who could do the most reps of the foot pedals in one-minute. They went back and forth a couple of times. The winner (or the most crazy) was Ryan with 208. David was close on his heels :~) with 203. Lets just say that a New Years resolution for us ALL is to get into better shape. After a minute or two to rest the boys were back to their regular heart rates and their normal selves.
