On Christmas Eve in our family we have a tradition. We get to open one gift and only one gift. Every year we do this and every year we know exactly what is in the pretty, lovingly wrapped gift...pajamas. Despite knowing this we look forward to that moment and welcome it with all the giddiness of a child. It's all very exciting because it means that it will soon finally be time to open the rest of the presents.
This year mom did all the Christmas Eve shopping. I'm not sure how that happened and I sincerely hope this isn't a long lasting tradition.

After opening our traditional Christmas Eve present and getting into our jammies we all sat down to read the true Christmas Story from the Bible. To help keep everyone's attention, especially Kyra's, we pulled out our Nativity set to "act it out." It was a very cute way to bring the story "alive." It's always nice to start new traditions.
