Happy Halloween!
This was our first official year to "celebrate" Halloween. I was a bit nervous about what Kyra would do or how she would act with her costume and going from door to door. To my surprise she was way into her costume and seemed to enjoy knocking on doors and having them give out candy.
This was our first official year to "celebrate" Halloween. I was a bit nervous about what Kyra would do or how she would act with her costume and going from door to door. To my surprise she was way into her costume and seemed to enjoy knocking on doors and having them give out candy.
She left it on the whole time and when it fell off she would stop, say "pretty," hand it to you and wait while you put it on her.
We all went out together to enjoy watching Kyra go Trick-or-Treating. It was so much fun watching her. The first few doors she was a bit shy. She started to warm up to the idea when, at every door, the people would tell her how pretty she is and then give her a fist full of candy. By the end she would attempt to say "trick-or-treat" and would say "tane too (thank you), bye-bye!" after receiving her reward.
Unfortunately she woke up the moment we got home. Grrr!
She really is an Angel!
(Side note: We have had to resort to bribery to get Kyra to go potty ON the potty, so the free candy is quite a good incentive.)
Our only mistake was that we bought a bunch of candy and we all went out, so the candy sat in the bowl the whole time...in the house. So our bright idea was to turn our porch light on with the bowl right next to it and let the kids have a free for all with it. It turned out pretty well considering we only have a little bit left over.
