This past Wednesday some friends of ours came over. They have kids about the same age as ours, so we get together a lot. This time we (Brenda, myself and the 4 kids) decided to go out to a local pumpkin patch to enjoy the season.
This particular pumpkin patch is totally free, unless you buy a pumpkin or refreshments. Very nice for a family on a budget.

As you enter the pumpkin patch area you walk under this giant scarecrow/clown wood cutout. This is probably the biggest one they had, but only one of hundreds they had arranged around the grounds. They had cutouts of characters from "Harry Potter," "Scooby Do," "Star Wars," "Mickey Mouse," "101 Dalmatians," "Charlie Brown," and many, many, many more from Disney shows, to shows on PBS, to shows on Nickelodeon, to sci-fi.

Here we see Charlie Brown and his "great pumpkin."

They also had jump houses and slides for the kids to play on. Behind these across the drive-way are two haystack mazes for the kids to wander through.

Addy keeping warm under her blanket. She loves being outside and enjoyed the festivities as much as the rest of us. She hardly made a peep the entire time we were there.

As it got cooler I put on her sweater to keep her warm. Here she is giving her mama some of her cutie-pie smiles.

She was totally oblivious to the fact that she was sitting next to a celebrity.

We had the kids in a stroller to keep them close. We realized that we needed to not take them out again unless absolutely necessary because they are quick on those little legs and we both had a baby to take care of also.

Kyra driving a (wooden) tractor. They had, in addition to the cutouts, things the kids could play in or on also.
You can see more of the wooden cutouts behind her. These are characters from the cartoon "The Backyardigans."

Here Kyra is standing in the back of a train engine car. She loved running around seeing all she could see.

Here she is posing with (from left to right) Zach, Wheezy and Cassie from "Dragon Tales." We watch this show throughout the week from time to time.

They had many cutouts that you could put your head in or on to make yourself into something else. Everything from pumpkins, to ghosts, to characters resembling Raggedy Anne and Andy.

Here are Kyra and David (or Dibi- sounds like D. B., as he is known by Kyra) in Jail. They had fun running in and out of the windows to see their moms and sisters.

Kyra and David as we arrived. Strapped in safe, sound, and not running away. :)

We definitely had a lot of fun. We will probably go again when daddy, or daddies, can come with us. We didn't buy any pumpkins because they were kinda pricey, but we enjoyed it anyway!
