Colic and Pee Pee

We went to Austin this las weekend. My Grandpa Bliss is in Texas for a visit, so we all got together at my sister Erin's house. It was a fun trip and the cousins really enjoyed playing together.

My mom and Grandpa Bliss (my mom's dad).

We took a tour of Austin on a "Duck Mobile." It's a converted WWII Amphibious Assault Vehicle. They were called "Ducks" during the war because they were able to drive on land and in the water. While it was a bit warm, it was nice to see a different side to Austin.

Kyra is very active, so staying in a seat for an hour and a half was a bit difficult. She actually fell asleep during the ride, but once we hit the "waddy" (water) she woke right up.

Here is mom and Kyra enjoying the breeze and trying not to fall in the water.

Kyra and her cousin Elise eating a snack. The snack ended up on the floor shortly after this picture. Where Kyra's other cousin, Owen, was able to enjoy the good eats.

The kiddo's getting a bath (Kyra, Owen, and Ellie).

Kyra and Ellie playing together. Most of the time they played very well together, but they got a bit pushy and didn't want to share by the end of the trip. They are 2, what can you expect?

Here is Uncle Evan holding Adelne. I was in the process of getting her jammies on when Kyra needed to go potty. Everything stops when Kyra needs to go potty.

Mom and Addy.

Once we got home it was just us girls again. Kyra did very well going potty while we were away. Mostly because her cousin Ellie is also potty training, so when one needed to go the other went too. We even had success with going #2 on the potty. This hasn't happened since, but a success is a success. However, yesterday was a not so good day. Kyra managed to go pee pee in every room, but her own and the spare bedroom, some more than once. Let's just say I needed to do a load of towels and half of the towels were covered in pee. A not so good day.

To top it all off, Addy is colicky. This means that the doctors don't know what is wrong, just that babies cry and cry and cry and cry and cry and...you get the idea. Addy was particularly fussy yesterday. When she gets like that all she wants to do is be held and only mom will do. This does not allow me to get much done (potty stops included). We have tried to change her formula and I am trying to breast feed or feed her breast milk in a bottle. This helped initially, but it doesn't seem to have worked. Fortunately, her 2 month appointment is in less than 2 weeks, so we will talk to the doctor to try to figure out what could be causing her fussiness.

Daddy is glad to have his girls home and mom is glad to be home again, too!
