Kyra has a tendancy to not take a nap until she is so utterly exhausted that she passes out on the floor. It has become a nightly ritual now as well...not cute.
On this day Ryan stayed up with Kyra while mom took a nap. When I woke up this is what I found. Aren't they cute?!?!?!
Mom has not been sleeping beauty as of late. Kyra has been rather difficult to put to bed. We do our normal routine and Kyra precedes to lay on the floor next to her door and call out for mom and dad. When we don't come at her beckon call she then knocks and kicks at her door.
Last night was no different. Bed time was roughly 7:30pm, but sleeping time did not happen until 10:30-ish. Again, NOT cute!!! To make things worse Addy wanted to eat around 11:30. Fortunately, I had pumped a bottle, so Ryan stayed up to feed her. Unfortunately, I was a bit restless, so while I was in bed, I did not fall asleep. Once everyone was in bed, Addy decided that this was a good time to play. I stayed up with her until about 1:30 and drifted in and out of sleep until 2:30 when I finally was able to go lay down and sleep. Promptly at 4:00am Addy wanted to eat again. This took us about an hour to eat and then have Addy fall back to sleep enough to stay asleep. Once asleep, it wasn't long until Sleeping Beauty herself woke me up about 7:30. Overall, not one of our better nights.
