Three weeks...That is how long Adeline Grace has been here. Time has just flown by. We are officially on our own as parents now. All the grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins are gone and our little house is quiet once again. Well as quiet as a house can get with two kids under the age of 2!
It truly is amazing that the second child of the family survives until they can outrun their older sibling. Addy has been quite patient with Kyra's attention and affection, but I think that is starting to wear thin. She flinches when she hears Kyra coming and starts to cry sooner when Kyra is being particularly affectionate.

I don't know if you can tell, but they are wearing matching outfits...they looked so cute. Thank you Grammy McPherson!

Here is Kyra being "particularly affectionate."
Grammy McPherson was here the week Addy was born and Grandma Zielke was here for the two weeks following that. We have really appreciated having our mom's here. They have been a
HUGE help as we transitioned from one kid to two. We can't thank them enough...thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!

Grandma Zielke only required Root Beer floats, holdering time, and a nap...too bad you can't do all three at the same time.

Over the weekend we had the whole clan (McPherson and Zielke) here for Addy's blessing. It was great having everyone here to celebrate this special time with us.

The "blessing" is a special prayer that we give our little ones to present them to the church, give them a name, and, within that prayer, blessings were bestowed on her that she can benefit from throughout her life.

While the adults were finishing up dinner (Saturday night) Kyra decided that Addy needed to eat as well. So, she decided to share her dinner with Addy...very sweet!!! Addy didn't seem to interested in Kyra's generosity.

As we were taking pictures of Addy with Kyra's dinner all over her, Kyra decided to strip completely naked and run around the house. This is not an unusual occurance, but on this particular occasion she had a poopy diaper and decided that she would also smear said poo all over herself.
Hence, the bath!
Ahh, the joys of parenthood!!! May they keep on coming!!! I'm sure one day we'll look back and laugh...
