Babies, Babies, and more Babies

Hello All!!!

Sorry it has been a few days since our last entry. It's kind of hard to post pictures of our Addy girl when all she does is sleep and eat. All the pictures seem to all be the same. But, alas, that is no excuse for our adoring family and friends.

Addy is doing great. She is such a good baby, unless it is the middle of the night or as Addy would call it "Play Time." She is slowly getting better about sleeping more during the night, but still wakes up for at least an hour to play. She was awake a lot this morning, so that was nice and hopefully she will continue to be more alert during the day, instead of at night. Enjoy the pictures of Adeline Grace:

Addy sleeping in her favorite position. On her back with her arms up above her head. She does not particularly like to be swaddled...can't move around.

She also likes to have her legs curled up. She is too precious!!!

Doesn't this just make you want to eat her up?!?! Too cute for words. :~)

A seemingly rare picture of Addy awake.

Kyra is really trying to be a good big sister. She loves to hug, kiss and hold Addy. She can get a little aggressive and doesn't like to have help when holding Addy, but she is learning. We are having a bit of a behavior issue (nothing too serious) now that mom and dad's attentions are now split, but we (mom and dad) are trying to be sensitive, give her more attention and praise good "big girl" behavior.

Say "Cheese!"

Kyra likes to put on Ryan's jacked. She obviously swims in it and often trips while trying to walk in it, but it's cute to see. We are waiting for the time when she finds mom's high heels and tries to walk around in them.

Kyra has really enjoyed having her grandparents here. Grammy McPherson was here while Addy was being born and now Grandma and Grandpa Zielke are here. Grandma will be here for two weeks helping out.

Ryan has been a really big help this week. He will wake up with Kyra in the morning, if I ask, or help me during the night if I need it. I guess it helps when you can sleep through anything. I am healing up nicely and yesterday was the first day that I really felt good. I wasn't in a lot of pain and I could move around for longer periods of time. I have been taking at least one nap during the day, any more than that I can't sleep at night. You can do just about anything if you've had sleep. I figured that out Thursday when I had a bit of a postpartum freak-out.

Ryan has enjoyed his vacation, too. He has loved spending time with his daughters, but I think he has really enjoyed catching up on sleep. He takes at least one nap a day and gets to sleep in. Even after a 2+ hour nap he is still "exhausted." Needless to say I don't have a lot of sympathy there. Not when I'm up 1-3 hours a night with Addy and getting up with the girls. I would make him wake up with them more often, but he just doesn't have the equipment to take care of Addy. :~)

Overall we are adjusting nicely. We love having both our girls home and we are really excited to see how the both grow and hopefully become good friends.
