We have had a pretty low key Father's day so far. We got home kind of late from picking Ryan up from work (12:00am), so as a special treat I let him sleep and got up with Kyra. I then cleaned the kitchen (today is his day to do it) and made some of the yummiest cinnamon French toast in the world. After that, daddy and Kyra had some quality time while mommy went and took a nap (overall a good day so far). Once Kyra went down for her nap Ryan was able to lay down for his.
Kyra really enjoyed coloring her Father's Day surprise for daddy. She only wanted minimal help from mom.
This has been a pretty stressful week for all of us. Ryan worked 80+ hours this week, while Kim and Kyra stayed home. It wasn't too terrible except that this was Kim's first full week of being a stay at home mom after 9 1/2 months of working full time. We both needed a chance to get used to the routine of us being home together and not being bored out of our minds. I have a few ideas for next week so that should help.
This week we did do a little project. Needless to say mom helped out quite a bit, but we both had fun putting it together.
When the weather is nice (it has been raining a lot lately) we like to go swimming. Kyra has figured out what the swimming diapers are and likes to put them on, even though she is not going swimming.
