Let me paint you the picture.
Ryan and I are sitting on the couch watching TV. Ryan is sleeping next to me while Kyra is playing with her toys and just running around. We have a big mirror sitting in front of our fireplace at the moment and Kyra likes to look into it. I look over at her and she is rolling on the floor trying to get her pants off over her slippers. She succeeds, stands up, looks at herself in the mirror, and moves on to her sweatshirt. After a bit of a struggle she again succeeds. This is where I think she is going to stop, but no. In just a few moments after losing the shirt I hear the unmistakable sound of Velcro being unstuck. All of a sudden I hear this mad, very pleased with myself type of laugh. I turn around to see our little streaker running toward the bedrooms with nothing on but her birthday suit and her slippers.

Other than than that excitement today we have had a pretty boring week. Ryan has been working super hard to try to get a major project up and running before a peer review of his design. It turned out really nicely and everyone was really excited about what he was about to do and how it looked. Other than having to present most of the day it was a really good day for him.
I have been working hard too. I'm trying to do a project with all my kids, that seems to be getting out of control. So now I am trying to reign it all in to get it done before the end of the month. Like I said it's becoming larger than life. I am trying to get them to make a book about themselves. Some are all into it and have 3 books worth of information and some are more resistant and only have 2-3 thing about themselves written down so far. This next week is TAKS testing. For those of you not familiar with Texas schools, the TAKS tests are a series of test for all grades 3 and above to take in Reading, Writing, Math, and Science. Now each grade does not have to take all the subjects in the same year, but the tests are a huge deal and usually take the entire week to administer to everyone. I have been selected to be one of the administers for one of the alternate forms of the TAKS. This is a very boring job as I have to literally watch the kids take the test so they aren't cheating. I can't go on the computer, read a book, or work on much needed paperwork. I just have to sit there and watch them take a test.
Kyra is such a happy kid these days. She just loves helping out in the kitchen and with the right encouragement she will help clean up her toys.

We have a basket in the living room that used to have toys in it. Now it is Kyra's favorite toy because she can climb in and out of it and have her own little area.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!!
