Yes, that's right! We are officially homeowners. We spent yesterday afternoon signing the mounds of paperwork to be homeowners. It was fairly painless, but Kim did feel like she was selling her life away and making a deal with the devil. (Only the devil would have that much paperwork) :~) :~) But it is official. We have the keys and we are ready to go.
Today is the BIG day. The day of the "BIG MOVE of '07." We can hardly stand it. We are 99.9% packed up and ready to go. We have to close up a few boxes, pack away the necessities, make sure we got everything, and we're good. We are having some people come over tonight to give us a hand moving things. Hopefully, we have a good turn out and it wont take long. Ideally, we would like to unload the truck tonight, but after seeing how much stuff we really have (pictures to come at a later date, if the camera isn't packed...the home computer is packed) I realize this may just be a dream idea. If it doesn't happen tonight then maybe we can pull for one more favor and have everybody come by tomorrow night and unload then.
Our first big purchase for the home was a new refrigerator. It is a really nice one and Kim is freaking out (she's like her mother) that it may not fit. However, Ryan, always the cool headed one (unless something computer related or geeky is at stake) is sure it will fit with room to spare. We opted for the bottom freezer model. It is really nice. The main fridge is on top and more easily accessible. The freezer portion is a drawer on the bottom that is easily access able to toddlers. :~) :~) We will most definitely need to baby proof that!!! It is white, due to the fact that Kim wants to try and "lighten up" the colors in the kitchen...eventually, and this is her first step.
Kyra has been absolutely wonderful during this. She has been really good when mom and dad are packing by watching "Signing Time" or another cartoon, if one is on. She has spent more time with the babysitter than mom and dad this week, where she is well loved, played with, and taken care of. We think that she will really enjoy her new home.
We can't wait for family and friends to come and see our new place...when we have had a chance to unpack a bit. Hope to see you all soon. Love you all...The Zielke's.
