We have had a lot of questions about the BIG MOVE of '07!! So here is a general plan of what is going on.
Feb. 26th- Sign closing papers.
Feb. 27th- Load moving truck and drive it up to Lewisville.
Feb 28th- Unload moving truck.
We are very much trying to get out of our apartment before March 1st so we can break our "lease" and only have to pay the reletting fee and not the fee and a month's worth of rent. So, the absolute earliest we can be in the new house is the day (night) we are moving.
So far, we have had many of our friends and Ward members express their willingness to help us out. Which is wonderful. Our timing is a bit lousy as we are trying to move in the middle of a week, so it will be difficult for our wonderful family members to help us move. However, I feel, that the hardest part about moving is unpacking and getting your new home to feel like your home. So that is what we are planning on letting our family do when they arrive to see us throughout March. They will be put to work painting, organizing, and generally getting all of the moving boxes emptied and out of our house.
We are overwhelmed by our family's willingness to help us move. We did not expressly ask them to help, but their gusto in volunteering (and their disappointment that they weren't able to be here sooner to help) was definately touching. We have such a great family!!!
We have (OK, just had a scary moment as I looked at the calendar) a week and a half before the BIG MOVE of '07!! So Ryan and I will be a busy little bees getting everything packed away that is not absolutely vital for survival before then. Don't any of you worry about not having anything to do when you come and see the new place. With us both working, a one-year old, and an increasingly pregnant mama I can guarantee that there will be work to do. :~) :~):~)
