The last month!

Well boys and girls a lot has happened in the last month. First and foremost...Kyra is walking!!!!! She is getting so big and so advanced. Secondly, she is now 10 months old. Our little girl is getting bigger and older and I don't particularly like it.

Here's the scoop for the family:

Kyra:
As I've stated already she is now 10 months old and walking. She is getting bigger every day and doing new things all the time. Due to her mom having to go to work for a year she is going to be going to a babysitter. The new babysitter is a really nice lady from Venezuela and just adores Kyra. We met with the babysitter to talk about stuff and she has set my little heart at ease that Kyra will be well taken care of and well entertained with another little boy she babysits.

Ryan:
Ryan is still playing piano in primary until the new person comes back in town. He is been really busy with Elder's Quorum trying to organize the Home Teaching. Ryan is going out of town next week for four days on business to Memphis, TN. He is really looking forward to it, but I am going to miss him. He still loves his job and works hard every day to impress the bosses. (They all seem to like it)

Kim:
Kim starts training for work on Tuesday the 8th and her official first day will be the 15th.
She is not looking forward to not being at home watching Kyra morph into a little girl before her eyes, but she knows that Kyra wont remember, have lots of fun, and wont forget who her mama is. Kim is still teaching Primary at church, but has been moved to a new class. As much of a bummer as that is, it is neat that she has her original class that she had when she started teaching the Primary kids. She really enjoys teaching them and every week it makes her have delusional thoughts of going back to school (the going back to school part is the crazy part) and getting a masters in education and teaching full time. Granted if that happens it wont be until all of our children (no that isn't an anouncement) are all in school full time themselves.

We have had a fun couple of weekends. This most recent weekend Kim's parents came up for a visit. While Kim has seen them recently down in Houston, it has been a while since they had the oportunity to come up to Dallas to see everyone. We played games (Cribbage mostly...the girls kicked butt big time!!!), went shopping (Ryan a laptop...yes Kim finally gave in, and Kim some clothes for work) and enjoyed being together. The weekend before that Ryan's parents came down from Iowa to visit as well. They drove down and picked a good weekend too. This was the week that Kyra decided it was time to start walking. Before they arrived Kyra had only taken 3-4 steps at a time, but after some practice and a lot of encouragement she now prefers to walk when she can. We also played games together and went to the Dallas Farmer's Market. We got some fresh fruit and vegetables and had a very yummy fruit salad and fresh veggies for dinner.

Well everyone it is time for us to go. It has been great letting you all know what has been going on with us. Keep us updated on how you are all doing, will ya?

Until next time...Love the Zielke's!
